As one of FortisBC’s authorized consultants, the team at BES may be able to conduct a free energy assessment of your building, to assess your energy usage.
What Is An Energy Assessment?
An energy assessment or energy audit is an analysis of the energy usage in your building. Our experts will look at your current usage, and identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption.
Our team will conduct a Level 1 Audit. This kind of audit provides you with estimated costs for energy efficiency measures and identifies larger projects for improvement, referred to as capital projects.

To receive your free energy assessment, we’ll need you to check that you’re eligible and fill in some details.
Are you a Commercial FortisBC customer?
Commercial FortisBC natural gas and/or electricity customers who:
own, or are long-term leaseholders of a medium-sized business, or
own a small industrial/manufacturing facility,
are eligible to take part in the energy assessment program.

How do I make my building more energy efficient?
As part of the assessment, we’ll determine if the building will need any upgrades.
If you decide to upgrade, FortisBC will continue its support of the installation of your new upgrades. In the meantime, we will be there to offer our engineering support.
So, you’ll have support from both sides right through to the installation of your chosen upgrades.
