Graduating from the University of Limerick in 2019 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Míchéal has spent the last five years developing expertise in energy-efficient building systems.  

Prior to relocating to Canada, Míchéal worked as a Facilities Engineer for a medical devices company, managing expansion projects at the company’s plant. Additionally, he gained valuable experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a construction firm. 

Since joining Building Energy Solutions (BES) Míchéal has been deeply involved in a wide range of mechanical design projects across British Columbia. His work primarily focuses on commercial and healthcare buildings, where he specializes in optimizing HVAC systems, plumbing design and designing sustainable, efficient mechanical solutions.  

At BES, Míchéal takes pride in the collaborative approach to project management and problem-solving, where he work closely with clients and teams to deliver projects that meet both regulatory standards and client expectations. Bringing these projects to life, from initial concept through to completion, fuels his passion for the work. 

Hobbies & Interests

Míchéal enjoys staying active through sports like Gaelic football, running, and hiking. He also has a strong interest in motoring.
